An album cover I designed for my friend Shacham.
One evening we met and he told me about his final project in his music studies. He said that album is comprised of both original string music and recorded sounds and talked about themes such imperfection, incompleteness, raw, tension…
This immediately reminded me about Wabi-Sabi aesthetic (a great source is Leonard Koren’s book “Wabi-sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers”) and we began discussing ideas for the design.
The result was printed on a textured paper, one side with a wet stone close-up image, the other side with a tree skin close-up image.
My debut album.
